Heat oven to 375°F. Slice tops off 6 bell peppers, remove seeds. Blanch 4 minutes.

Brown 1 lb Italian sausage with 1 chopped onion. Drain.

Stir in 2 cups cooked rice (or orzo), 1 cup marinara sauce, 1 cup shredded mozzarella, ½ cup grated Parmesan, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, ¼ cup chopped fresh basil, salt and pepper.

Stuff peppers generously with the mixture, mounding slightly.

Place in baking dish with ½ cup water in bottom. Top each pepper with more mozzarella.

Cover with foil, bake 25 min. Uncover, bake 10 more min until cheese is golden. Top with fresh basil. Serve with garlic bread.
